In mid-September, Alex and I flew off to Alicante for a week of much needed rest and recuperation. I hadn’t had a week off since January, so without realising it, I had been driving myself, physically and mentally, into the ground. Alex had just finished his Masters and also needed to get away from it all.
I have only ever known about Alicante as the airport, after spending so many of my summers flying in then driving down to Torreveija. We had a fantastic week of exploring a new city and seeing what Alicante had to offer.

Last Sunday, I went from Hull to Stoke-on-Trent with two lovely ladies to go for afternoon tea and to paint our own pottery at the Emma Bridgewater Factory.
I know, it’s a long way to go for pottery… but when the pottery is that nice, it wasn’t too strenuous a journey!

When I was 17 years old, I knew exactly where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do. But, when I was 18, on my A-Level results day, I didn’t get what I expected.
You know, there are several parts of me that doesn’t feel connected to the 17 year old version of myself. 24 year old Tory can be so indecisive and I never seem to settle on what I want to do or where I want to go. How was I so sure about where I wanted to go to uni?
