Hull 2017: The Poppies

The latest art installation in Queen Victoria’s Square is now in place and it quickly became as popular on social media as the Blade was.

The Weeping Window Poppies will be in Hull city centre until May 14th, and if you’re in the area, you simply must go see them.

Lines of Thought

The Lines of Thought Exhibition was open in the University of Hull’s Brynmor Jones Library from 3rd January to 28th February (today). Despite working in the building next door (no, really, I do – no exaggeration), I only got round to going on the last day.

Hull 2017: The Blade

In my last post about the goings on in Hull (UK City of Culture 2017), I mentioned the importance of the Renewable Energy industry in the future of the city. Basically, a big company called Siemens announced a big investment (lots of £££’s) and lots of jobs in Hull – its biggest project being wind turbines.
